Often overshadowed by the region's renowned reds, Bordeaux's white wines offer an astonishing variety that deserves to be explored. From crisp, citrusy Sauvignon Blancs ideal for aperitifs, to rounder, more indulgent Sémillon-based blends ideal for dinner. Guided by certified wine specialists educated at the Université du Vin, you'll sample four carefully selected white wines from both esteemed and independent estates, including a surprise wine to test your senses.

In this experience, you'll acquire the skills to taste like a connoisseur while delving into the realm of white Bordeaux: its history, appellations, grape varieties, winemaking methods, and terroirs. You'll compare styles from both the Left and Right Banks and understand how stainless steel preserves freshness and fruitiness, whilst oak barrel ageing adds complexity, roundness, and structure. Additionally, you'll have the chance to sample the famed sweet Sauternes.

You'll also explore creative food and wine combinations. Each wine will be complemented by a pairing with a mature French cheese, and you'll leave with a tasting booklet to continue practicing your skills at home. The wines sampled are available for purchase afterwards, making it ideal for extending the experience or sharing your newfound discoveries with others.
