Experience a journey through time on Mount Vesuvius, along the evocative path no. 9, "Il Fiume di Lava" (The River of Lava), safely accompanied by the Official Guides of the National Park.
The excursion starts at an altitude of 570 meters (the entrance can be reached by car from Naples, Ercolano or Torre del Greco, and by bus only from Pompeii) and crosses a dense forest to the lava flow of the last eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 1944, where the extraordinary lichen "Stereocaulon Vesuvianum" colors the landscape silver.
During the two-hour hike, the expert guides will introduce you to the biodiversity of Vesuvius and tell you about the myths, curiosities, and volcanic history of this extraordinary area, with spectacular views of the Gulf of Naples and its islands.
Once you reach the panoramic area of the trail, there will be a tasting of typical Vesuvian products: Neapolitan tarallo and Lacryma Christi DOC wine (or Aglianico Vesuviano) for adults, croutons and juice for teens and children.
The route is easy and suitable for everyone, from children to adults, and guarantees safety, friendliness and attention for each participant.
The activity is conducted in a group, but private tours are also available on request.
A unique opportunity to discover the wild nature of the volcanic complex and enjoy excellent typical Vesuvian products in good company.
