Officially, Berlin's history "only" dates back to 1237, making it one of the youngest capitals in Europe. Many older city districts were not rebuilt after the destruction of World War II. Instead, modern new buildings or city highways were built, resulting in the loss of numerous historical traces.

But they still exist – and through archaeological excavations in recent years, some evidence of the city's early history has come to light again. On this tour, you will go on a search for traces of Berlin's origins with an experienced guide and discover details that are often overlooked in the hustle and bustle of the modern metropolis.
