Product Info

Day 1
Leave Edinburgh and journey past Stirling Castle into the Highlands, where rolling Lowland farmland transforms into the dramatic landscapes of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. Stop beside a peaceful loch and enjoy Highland air before climbing into the Arrochar Alps to the famous viewpoint of Rest and Be Thankful. Continue to the picturesque lochside town of Inveraray for lunch. Depending on conditions, your driver-guide may detour to the ancient monuments of Kilmartin Glen or the romantic ruins of Kilchurn Castle. Arrive in Oban, the “Gateway to the Isles,” and enjoy a relaxed evening by the harbour.

Day 2
Take a ferry to Mull with views of Duart Castle rising above the sea. Cross the island’s wild interior to Fionnphort, then choose to visit Iona, exploring its historic abbey and peaceful beaches, or take an optional boat trip to Staffa to witness Fingal’s Cave. Return to Oban for a second evening, perhaps watching sunset from McCaig's Tower.

Day 3
Follow the shores of Loch Linnhe to photo stops at Castle Stalker, then explore the powerful mountain scenery of Glencoe. After lunch in Fort William beneath Ben Nevis, continue through the Great Glen with views of the Five Sisters of Kintail and Eilean Donan Castle. Overnight in the postcard-pretty village of Plockton.

Day 4
Cross to the Isle of Skye and explore the otherworldly landscapes of the Trotternish Peninsula, including the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Later, step into clan history at Dunvegan Castle before returning to Plockton.

Day 5
Revisit Eilean Donan Castle for photos, then continue to Fort Augustus on the shores of Loch Ness. Travel south through Cairngorms National Park with a final refreshment stop in Dunkeld, before returning to Edinburgh with views of the UNESCO-listed Forth Rail Bridge.
