Product Info

Cappadocia Green Tour is a popular sightseeing tour and one of the best way to explore the top attractions of Cappadocia. This tour takes visitors to the southern part of Cappadocia, where they will have the chance to visit a number of incredible sights and experience the region’s natural beauty.

Our first stop is the magnificent Derinkuyu Underground City. It is the most popular underground city of Cappadocia. This underground complex has been used by the locals for centuries to hide from the Romans, Persians and Arabs.

After leaving Derinkuyu, we will drive further south to the magnificent lush Ihlara Valley. We will walk for about 1 hour on the banks of the Melendiz River, which winds through the Ihlara Gorge, and will stop for lunch at a restaurant by the river in Belisırma Village.

After lunch, we will go to Selime Monastery, the largest rock monastery in Cappadocia, with a large cave cathedral and breathtaking view of the region, and end our tour by moving back to our starting point.

Important: Who Should Reconsider This Tour?

The Green Tour (Ihlara Valley) is the most physically active route in Cappadocia. To ensure your comfort, please note that this tour is not recommended for:

Individuals with Mobility Issues: The descent into Ihlara Valley involves climbing down approximately 400 stone steps, and the hike covers about 2km (2.5 miles) of uneven terrain.

Severe Heart or Respiratory Conditions: Due to the physical exertion required during the canyon hike and uphill climbs.

Serious Knee or Hip Injuries: The steep stairs and natural paths can be taxing on joints.

Infants in Strollers: The valley floor and ancient sites are not stroller-friendly. We highly recommend using a baby carrier instead.

Special Note on Selime Monastery: Accessing the upper sections of the monastery requires climbing steep, slippery rock surfaces. Visitors with a fear of heights (acrophobia) or balance issues should exercise extra caution.
