Spend a whole day learning how to be a ‘mahout’ - an elephant caretaker.

Change into a mahout outfit and take a short walk out to meet with the elephants. Alongside a real mahout, you will learn how to approach the elephants, judge their temperament, and gain their trust.

You will be able to help prepare some food for the elephants, which you will get from a local market, then feed them and be amazed as you watch their trunks skillfully scoop up the food offered to them.

After watching them eating, having already secured your special bond with the elephant and gained its trust, observe, or maybe even help out the mahouts as they bathe and play with the elephants, which helps the animals cool off and cleanse their skin.

Large golf-sized umbrellas are provided to use for sun protection as well as rain.
If you book the morning session after 9:00 P.M. the day before, you cannot be guaranteed the pickup service and may need to go to the venue by yourself. However, return transport is available after you finish the activity
Please note that the rescued elephants are not forced to do activities they do not wish to participate in. The sanctuary will not force them to pose for photos.
