- Be ready for pick-up around 7:30 am, when your tour guide will collect you from your hotel in Hue city and take you to Quang Tri province
- Visit Dong Ha Town which used to be a strategically important location of U.S. Marine Combat Base, as it was an outpost that provided surveillance of troop movements across the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ)
- Learn about the Ho Chi Minh trail that was a logistical system that ran from the North Vietnam to the south of Vietnam, and crossed through the neighboring kingdoms of Laos and Cambodia
- Stop off at Dakrong bridge that crosses the Dakrong river
- Learn about rock pile, a base for American long–range artillery
- Visit the site of one of the most controversial battles of the American War when you stop off at Khe Sanh combat base, which is in a valley surrounded entirely by rolling mountains and forest
- After lunch at a local restaurant go visit the Doc Mieu base, which is part of an elaborate electronic system (McNamara’s wall) intended to prevent infiltration across the DMZ
- Admire the Hien Luong beam bridge which is known as the "Peace Bridge", and was built by the French in 1950
- Head on to the Ben Hai river, which is an important landmark as it helped partition the country into northern and a southern zones
- Visit Cua Tung beach which is close to the northern border of Quang Tri Province
- Go explore the Vinh Moc tunnels which are deep in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone, and include wells, kitchens, rooms for each family, and spaces for healthcare
- Return to Hue in the late afternoon
