The national drink of Turkey, coffee, has a long historical tradition. It can be traced back to Egypt where the Ottomans brought the first coffee beans to Istanbul in 1519.
The tour will start by walking through the bustling bazaars, the narrow streets, and find out where the very first coffee shops opened their doors in the 14th century. We will visit the famous Haci Bekir, a confectioner specializing in traditional Turkish delight and candies en route.
Hydrate yourself with some coffee along the way, and try out some traditional Turkish delight. You’ll also take a fun Turkish coffee making course, and get a certificate proving that you’re qualified.
