Floating markets are a must-see in Thailand, but they're nearly two hours away from Bangkok and lack public transportation. KKday's day tour offers hotel pick-up and drop-off service, solving this major transportation problem. The guide not only introduces the history of the floating markets but also briefly explains the evolution of Thailand, enriching the traveler's background knowledge. Along the way, the guide reminds visitors of sightseeing precautions, provides practical advice, and actively helps with taking photos. A very worthwhile activity! 👍
At the Maeklong Railway Market, I happened to be sitting in a cafe and watched the trains go by, so I recommend walking along the tracks and waiting for the train at a cafe on the left.
At the Amphawa Floating Market, we had free time to stroll around the town along the canal without taking a boat. I stumbled upon a shop called "Tiao Tok Kala," which had a great atmosphere and delicious noodle dishes with fish sauce, so I recommend it.
The midday sun is intense, but the firefly viewing tour departed in the cool evening after sunset. The boat, moving at eye level close to the water's surface, and the traditional Thai architecture lining the canal, felt like a cruise in a dreamland – it was absolutely wonderful.
We saw lots of fireflies, so I recommend it.
A big thank you to our driver, Niyom, for securing the front row of the boat for us.
He was a kind, quiet, and wonderful driver. Highly recommended!
It was a great tour! Highly recommended.
The itinerary was plentiful yet unhurried, designed for a small group rather than a private tour for dozens of people. Our guide, "Minmin," was attentive and accommodating, making it a fantastic day tour experience in Thailand. The fireflies were incredibly beautiful, twinkling like Christmas tree lights.
