Bedugul and Ubud Cultural Day Trip<\/span><\/h3>\n
Taman Ayun Temple<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Take a trip into central Bali, beginning with a visit to a serene Balinese Hindu temple, the Pura Taman Ayun,\u00a0literally meaning, \u201cTemple Beautiful Garden\u201d. Located in Mengwi, Taman Ayun temple is inside a beautiful garden (hence the name) with trees and ponds. The temple itself was first built in 1634 and is bordered on all sides by canals with a bridge as the only way in. Wander the the temple grounds and admire the fascinating architecture of the Pura\u00a0structures.<\/p>\n

Moving north to the mountain lake resort village of Bedugul now, which enjoys a refreshing cooler climate due to the mountainous altitude. A highlight of this area is undoubtedly the picturesque Lake Beratan, take a peaceful stroll around or rent a boat and take a leisurely row. On the western edges of Lake Beratan is Pura Ulun Danu, an extraordinary, and seemingly floating, water temple blessed with the stunning surroundings of the lake and mountains.<\/span><\/p>\n

After a stop for lunch, it\u2019s time to finally move down to the ancient and cultural city of Ubud. Located between rice paddies and rainforests it\u2019s time to visit the famous Ubud Traditional Art Market. The island of Bali\u00a0and especially Ubud is well known for it\u2019s traditional crafts and it\u2019s artists, potters, carpenters and craftsmen who create them. Browsing the market is a highlight on it\u2019s\u00a0own and when you do inevitably\u00a0spot something of interest don\u2019t be afraid to haggle with the shopkeeper for a better deal.<\/p>\n
