1. Hakata Tenjin \u2013 Rich and Creamy Ramen<\/h2>\n

Hakata Tenjin (\u535a\u591a\u5929\u795e) is a no-frills ramen joint that started out as one shop in Shinjuku and as they became more and more popular have slowly expanded to other areas in Tokyo. The ramen is in a deliciously rich and creamy tonkotsu soup base and you can choose your own toppings from egg, spring onion, seaweed and meat, and all for 500 Yen!<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not hard to find curry rice restaurants in Japan and C&C Curry Shop is a pretty good choice. C&C has been around for 40 years and has 23 branches in Tokyo alone. A curry here will set you back between 330 to 630 Yen. Tasty, generous portions and a low price, what\u2019s not to like!<\/span><\/p>\n

The most popular item on Tenya\u2019s menu is the Tempura Rice Bowl (\u5929<\/span>\u4e3c) which includes rice and 5 different types of tempura: shrimp, fish, squid, pumpkin and beans. Tenya is reasonably priced and tastes great! If you\u2019re really hungry you can make it a set meal for an additional 180 Yen, or add udon or soba noodles.<\/span><\/p>\n
