Product Info

The Val Grande in the Maggia Valley offers a particularly beautiful and beginner-friendly canyoning experience in a stunning landscape. After meeting our guides, you will be provided with the appropriate equipment and a thorough briefing. Afterwards, you will hike up an old trail for about 30 to 40 minutes to reach the start of the tour.

From the very start, you’ll be eager for more: the Val Grande captivates with its distinctive white-and-red rock formations and its breathtaking natural scenery. Right at the start, one of the tour’s major highlights awaits: the approximately 82-foot-high “Little Niagara” waterfall.

From there, the route continues exclusively through the gorge. Small and medium-sized rappel points alternate with beautiful drops, offering a varied experience in a wild yet exceptionally scenic environment. This way, you will progress through the canyon step by step, constantly discovering new sections of water, rock, and movement.

Before the last two waterfalls, depending on water levels and the participants’ preferences, there is the option to disembark or to extend the tour. If the conditions are right and the group is willing, there are additional unique sections ahead, featuring long, rugged rock slides that can be conquered using the rope. At the end, you will arrive directly back down at the car.

At purelements®, the focus is not only on action, but also on safety, quality, and a genuine experience of nature. Our experienced guides will accompany you attentively throughout the tour, without any unnecessary rush. This way, you can experience the Val Grande safely, in a relaxed manner, and with plenty of enjoyment.

This tour is ideal for beginners looking for a varied and scenically unique canyoning experience in Ticino.
