Travel from Inverness to the Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore. Discover the history and heritage of the Scottish Highlands. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Badenoch and Strathspey region, and visit the Cairngorm Mountain and the UK's highest restaurant.

Head south from Inverness over The Slochd Summit and see the first view of The Cairngorm Mountains. Continue on to the Highland Folk Museum in Newtonmore.

Enjoy a lovely tour along the quieter back roads of Badenoch & Strathspey. Visit Ruthven Barracks before passing through Rothiemurchus with a walk on the beach at Loch Morlich.

Journey up to the Cairngorm ski area and the UK's highest mountain railway. Experience Cairngorm Mountain and enjoy panoramic views from the UK's highest restaurant, over 1000 meters up.

Back down in Strathspey, go looking for red squirrels and perhaps Ospreys amid the indigenous Caledonian Pine Forest by Loch Garten and Nethy Bridge.

Continue on to Grantown-on-Spey and, if time allows, enjoy a dram or two of Scotch Malt Whisky on the way home at either Tomatin or the new Cairn Distillery.
