Step inside Jackton Distillery, a family-run and female-led working whisky distillery set on the Kean family farm in the Scottish Lowlands, around 25 minutes from Glasgow city centre.

Meet your guide in the Tasting Bar and hear how the family farm became the home of RAER. Then follow the whisky-making process through the mill room, brewhouse and fermentation vessels. Learn what happens during Jackton’s 164-hour fermentation before entering the stillhouse to see its copper pot and column stills.

Continue into the sample laboratory and Bonded Warehouse No.1. Discover how different casks shape colour, aroma and flavour, including the story behind Jackton’s Chambord oak casks from France.

Return to the Tasting Bar for a guided flight of four RAER Scotch whiskies. Taste the Original Blend alongside the Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso and Amontillado sherry-cask expressions.

The tasting is relaxed, welcoming and easy to follow, whether you know whisky well or are trying Scotch for the first time. Designated drivers can ask for their samples to be packaged as driver drams to enjoy at home.
