Product Info

Experience the ultimate private dolphin and whale watching tour in Drake Bay, Costa Rica — a world-famous pelagic adventure designed exclusively for you and your group.

Led by a team with over 30 years of local expertise, this is the original dolphin and whale watching tour in the area, featured on National Geographic, Animal Planet, BBC, and Discovery Channel. Unlike shared tours, this private experience offers complete flexibility, personalized attention, and the freedom to explore the ocean at your own pace.

We are also the only operator in the region actively involved in marine research and conservation, contributing to efforts that helped establish this area as an Important Marine Mammal Area (IMMA). Your tour is guided by experienced naturalists, often working alongside marine biologists, providing deeper insight into the behaviors and lives of the animals you encounter.

Meet your expert guide and board your private boat as you venture into the rich offshore waters of the Osa Peninsula, one of the most biologically intense marine ecosystems on Earth.

These warm tropical waters are home to dolphins and whales year-round. With the flexibility of a private tour, we can adjust our route and timing to maximize your experience. You may encounter mega pods of Pantropical Spotted Dolphins, as well as Bottlenose, Spinner, Common, and Rough-toothed Dolphins. Seasonal and rare species also pass through these productive waters.

In addition to dolphins, you may see Humpback Whales, sea turtles, manta rays, and other pelagic wildlife. During peak whale season (late July through October), we often encounter Humpback Whales nearshore and around Caño Island, frequently with their calves.

What makes this private experience truly special is the ability to move with the rhythm of the ocean. There is no fixed schedule or group pace — we follow the wildlife, allowing for longer, more intimate encounters when conditions are right.

Our approach is always guided by nature. Interactions are never forced. Instead, we allow dolphins and whales to choose to engage, which often results in extraordinary moments as they swim alongside the boat, ride the bow wave, or leap into the air. On rare occasions, you may even witness dolphins and whales interacting with each other.

This private tour is ideal for couples, families, photographers, and anyone seeking a more personal, immersive, and flexible ocean experience.

More than just a tour, this is a deep, authentic connection with the ocean — shared only with those you choose to bring, guided by experience, respect, and a true passion for the marine world.
