Product Info

Departure from Chișinău between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM.
After a brief introduction to the day, we'll set off for Gagauzia! During the journey (about 90 minutes), we will retrace the history of Moldova and the Gagauz people, explaining the events that led to the birth of this Autonomous region within Moldova!

We'll start in the Gagauz capital of Comrat, exploring its iconic landmarks and the famous Soviet T-34 tank. We will then continue to a mysterious "hidden" monastery, a place of deep spirituality that houses rare special icons (out of respect for local traditions, we will not be allowed to photograph them).

At lunch, we immerse ourselves in Gagauz food culture: typical dishes prepared according to local recipes, to get to know the flavors and traditions of this Turkish-speaking Orthodox people up close.

In the afternoon, we will leave Comrat to explore the region's villages, each ready to reveal its hidden gems:

*An abandoned Soviet airport, where you can see the legendary Antonov An-2 aircraft up close.
*A striking House of Culture abandoned after a fire, the perfect setting with a decadent charm for lovers of Urbex and photography.
*Unique Soviet monuments and symbols, true pieces of history that have remained intact over time and cannot be found in the rest of Moldova.

A journey through history, culture and places suspended in time, designed for those seeking authenticity beyond the tourist maps.
