  • The 'Ultimate Japanese Cultural Experience Tour' is not a show staged for tourists, but a special experience visiting the sites of 'authentic Japanese culture' that are still passed down today. First, we head to the Abematsu Stable, where active sumo wrestlers live and train daily. You will observe the powerful morning practice held in a tense atmosphere up close, and experience the world of sumo, Japan's national sport, through a sumo match experience with wrestlers, commemorative photos, and the traditional food of sumo stables, Chanko Nabe. Next, we visit a hub of tea ceremony culture where active tea masters learn and hold tea gatherings. In an authentic tea room equipped with Kyoto-style tatami mats, you will experience the heart of Japanese hospitality as a guest while enjoying matcha and Japanese sweets. Furthermore, at the Nakadai Manufacturing Co., which handles the production and restoration of portable shrines (mikoshi), you will observe the skills of craftsmen such as woodworkers, carvers, and lacquerers up close. You will also learn about the background of how mikoshi are not just crafts, but 'vehicles for the gods' deeply connected to local festivals and Shinto. Through different cultures—sumo, tea ceremony, and festivals—this is a cultural experience only available on this tour, where you can deeply touch the traditions, spirit, and techniques of Japan that live on in the modern day. Because all experiences are 'authentic,' this is a rare-value tour that can only be realized for a limited time and on limited days.
  • Not for tourists, tense 'authentic morning practice', interaction with wrestlers, and Chanko Nabe lunch
  • Explore the sacred national sport in the suburbs of Tokyo, observe serious sumo morning practice, and experience a sumo match with wrestlers and a Chanko Nabe lunch. In the 'authentic morning practice,' which is not for tourists, you will observe in a serious atmosphere where talking and smartphone use are prohibited. After practice, you can enjoy a match with real wrestlers, take commemorative photos, and have a Chanko Nabe lunch. Please take home an authentic banzuke (sumo ranking sheet) as a souvenir.
  • Not a tourist tea ceremony experience, but an experience of being invited as a guest to an 'active tea ceremony cultural community'
  • Instead of a tea ceremony show created for tourists, you will visit an 'authentic tea ceremony site' where tea masters actually learn, hold tea gatherings, and handle tea utensils. Witness authentic tea ceremony with matcha and Japanese sweets at a local tea ceremony hub that handles everything from advanced research groups and beginner classes to tea gatherings, tea utensil sales/repairs, and tea room architecture.
  • Visit a 'real mikoshi workshop' and learn about the 'mikoshi' (vehicles for the gods) and Japanese 'festival culture'
  • We will visit an authentic production site that has specialized in the wood processing of mikoshi bodies since its founding, and where professional craftsmen such as woodworkers, carvers, and lacquerers still produce and restore mikoshi today. A mikoshi is not just a beautiful piece of woodwork, but a 'vehicle for the gods,' closely tied to Japanese local communities and Shinto. You will not only see it, but also learn the cultural background of why mikoshi exist and how they are used in festivals.
