3-Day Terelj Tour with Horse Riding & Chinggis Khan Statue｜Mongolia

Experience Mongolia beyond Ulaanbaatar on a 3-day adventure combining a full-day horseback ride across the open steppe, nomadic culture, the iconic Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue, traditional horsemanship, and the spectacular landscapes of Gorkhi-Terelj National Park.

Day 1: Ulaanbaatar – Terelj National Park – Full-Day Horse Riding

Depart Ulaanbaatar in the morning and drive to the Terelj National Park. Meet a local nomadic family and experience traditional Mongolian hospitality.

Your local horse-riding guide will introduce you to your horse and provide a safety briefing covering basic riding techniques, horse handling and important safety guidelines. Set off across the open Mongolian steppe and ride for approximately 2–3 hours before lunch, enjoying the peaceful scenery and fresh countryside air.

After a traditional lunch, continue riding for another 2–3 hours toward the impressive Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue Complex. Standing 40 meters (131 feet) tall, the statue is one of Mongolia's most iconic landmarks and the world's tallest equestrian statue. You can climb through the statue to get an impressive panoramic view of the surrounding landscape.

Enjoy the "Legend of Chinggis Khan" horse show, featuring skilled Mongolian riders demonstrating traditional horsemanship and battle reenactments.

After the show, we will go to a ger camp in the National Park to enjoy dinner and relax in the peaceful surroundings.

Accommodation: Overnight in a traditional ger with a private bathroom and shower. Each ger accommodates 2–3 guests, with male and female travelers accommodated separately. A private ger can be booked against an additional fee.

Day 2: Explore Gorkhi-Terelj National Park

After breakfast, discover the highlights of Gorkhi-Terelj National Park. Browse local souvenir shops, visit the iconic Turtle Rock, and hike to the peaceful Aryabal Meditation Temple, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys.

Return to the ger camp in the afternoon, followed by dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 3: Terelj National Park – Ulaanbaatar

Enjoy a leisurely morning at the ger camp before departing for Ulaanbaatar. Stop for lunch along the way, then visit either Narantuul or Dunjingarav Market, depending on the day, to browse traditional crafts, cashmere products, souvenirs and local goods.

Your 3-day adventure concludes with a drop-off at your desired location in Ulaanbaatar.
