Discover the Nordkette conveniently from Innsbruck's city center by cable car and enjoy the breathtaking 360° view of the capital of the Alps on one side and Tyrol’s most extensive conservation area on the other.

Experience summit atmosphere at the highest viewing point at Hafelekar mountain at an altitude of 2,300 m which offers a spectacular panoramic view. Walking from the Hafelekar station to the summit takes around 10 to 15 minutes. Catch a glimpse of the normally shy wildlife of Austria’s largest nature park, the Karwendel reserve. Enjoy a combination of relaxation, nature, and activities. A visit to the Nordkette should not be missed during a stay in Innsbruck.

  • Meeting point description: The ride to the Top of Innsbruck starts at the Altstadt station in Innsbruck(Rennweg 3, 6020 Innsbruck, Österreich)

  • Hungerburg funicular: Monday to Friday 7.15am - 7.15pm; Saturday, Sunday and holidays 8.00am - 7.15pm

  • Seegruben cable car: Daily 8.30am - 5.30pm; from June - September till 6.30pm

  • Hafelekar cable car: Daily 9.00am - 5.00pm; from June - September till 6.00pm

  • The cable cars run every 15 minutes

  • Infants (age 0-5) participate for free
