Discover the best-preserved amphitheatre in the Roman world! The Nîmes Amphitheatre is the fruit of two centuries of development of Roman architecture. Unlike the Coliseum, its external facade is perfectly preserved.

The amphitheatre is 133 metres long and 101 metres wide and has an oval-shaped arena that is 68 metres long and 38 metres wide. Its elliptical shape ensures no one's view in the audience is obstructed, regardless of where one is seated on the tiered seating.

  • Children up to 7 years can join for free. Free tickets can be only picked up on site, proof will be required

  • The Nîmes Amphitheatre is open 7 days a week except for exceptional closures for shows or concerts
