Product Info

Leave Munich behind and spend a memorable day discovering the UNESCO World Heritage palaces of King Ludwig II. Travel through the Bavarian countryside in a comfortable, air-conditioned coach while your guide shares fascinating stories about the “Fairy-Tale King,” his life and his extraordinary architectural visions.
Your first destination is Linderhof Palace, Ludwig II’s elegant “Royal Villa” and the only one of his palaces completed during his lifetime. Surrounded by mountains and landscaped gardens, Linderhof offers an intimate glimpse into the king’s private world. Explore its lavish interiors on a guided castle tour and, depending on the season and available time, enjoy the palace grounds. With the late departure option the visit of Linderhof Palace is not part of the tour.
Continue through the scenic Ammergau Alps and pass the picturesque village of Oberammergau, famous for its Passion Play, traditional woodcarving and painted façades. Please note that this tour passes through Oberammergau by bus and does not include a stop there.
Around midday, arrive in Hohenschwangau, where Ludwig II spent part of his childhood beneath the castle of the same name. Enjoy free time for lunch at your own expense, browse local shops or take photos of the spectacular Alpine surroundings.
The highlight of the day awaits at Neuschwanstein Castle. Rising dramatically above forests and mountains, this world-famous castle seems to have stepped straight out of a fairy tale. Allow approximately 30–40 minutes for the uphill walk before joining the guided visit through its remarkable interiors. Weather and access permitting, you may also visit Marienbrücke (Mary’s Bridge) for the iconic panoramic view of the castle.
Choose the option with admission tickets included for maximum convenience. If you book the option without tickets, reserved entrance tickets for Linderhof and Neuschwanstein can be purchased from your guide on the bus by debit or credit card. After an unforgettable afternoon in King Ludwig II’s dream world, relax on the comfortable journey back to Munich.
