Sengan-en, also known as Iso Garden, is located in Kagoshima and was built as a villa garden by the Shimadzu clan in 1658 (the first year of the Manji era). The garden incorporates Sakurajima and Kinko Bay into its landscape, blending the grandeur of nature into the scenery. It once served as a reception hall for the Satsuma domain and was used as the main residence of the Shimadzu clan after the Meiji Restoration. Stroll through the garden to experience the unique charm where history, culture, and nature intertwine.
