Product Info

A lampwork bead is a glass bead with a hole in the center. You will melt colored glass rods using a burner and wind them around a metal rod to create a round glass bead with vibrant patterns. It is as exciting as making taffy! You can turn your finished beads into straps or pendants and take them home on the same day.

You can express your own world within these small, rolling glass beads. The finished product is so beautiful you will find yourself staring at it! This plan allows you to make 2 lampwork beads. Although you will be using a burner, our instructor will provide full support, so even elementary school students can enjoy the experience. While the technique is simple, it is a deeply rewarding craft. They can be taken home as soon as they cool down, so feel free to join us!
Glass blowing, sandblasting, and baby handprint options available
We offer a variety of menus, including 'glass blowing' where you breathe into molten glass, sandblasting where you carve designs or text into cups, bowls, or small plates, and plans to preserve your baby's handprints or footprints in glass molds. Each experience takes about 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, so please feel free to stop by during your travels. Our instructor is a professional glass artist who holds solo exhibitions nationwide and creates items like lace trophies. You can consult with them to create something you love.

Our studio is located in a quiet, greenery-filled area about 1 hour by car from Tokyo. On sunny days, you can even see Mount Fuji. Watching the glass stretch, expand, and warp... the fun of slowly shaping your image and the sense of accomplishment when it is finished is indescribable. Molten glass is also incredibly beautiful. As it is a private studio, you can enjoy the experience in a nearly exclusive setting. Families, couples, and groups are all welcome to come and make memories with us.

By car: Approximately 9 minutes from the Otsuki Interchange on the Chuo Expressway. *Parking available for 5 cars. By train: From JR Chuo Main Line Otsuki Station, take the Fujikyu Yamanashi Bus bound for Hamaiba or Kamimaki for approximately 18 minutes. Get off at the Tsuji bus stop and walk for 5 minutes.
