Product Info

  • Half-day rafting tour on the Saru River or Mukawa River. The guide will decide which river to navigate based on current conditions. Adults (junior high school students and above) are welcome to participate. Duration: Approximately 3 hours from meeting to dismissal.
  • Saru River, Japan's clearest stream, and Mukawa River, Hokkaido's #1 whitewater
  • The Saru River, which originates in the Hidaka Mountains, flows right behind HOA and has been selected as Japan's clearest stream. Then there is the Mukawa River, known as the wildest whitewater in Hokkaido. The course, with its large drops and tricky rapids, is thrilling no matter how many times you go. Both rivers are popular with repeat visitors. Of course, beginners are also well supported by our guides.
  • The best season is 'spring snowmelt'
  • From late April to mid-May, the river swells with snowmelt, allowing you to enjoy true 'whitewater' rafting. Other times, such as during typhoon season or after heavy rain, the water level rises temporarily, making it a great time to visit. Also, on hot summer days, regardless of the water level, it is refreshing to jump into the cold water and spend a cool day. You can try raft surfing on the rapids or jump from spots that will make your legs shake. Our guides will show you how to have fun in the summer.
  • Enjoy a fun time in the lounge after the tour.
  • We provide warm chai tea. Please enjoy a fun time while looking at photos from the tour.
