Purchase Notice

1. Wear non-slip sports shoes, as the gravel roads and riversides are slippery; bring a windproof and waterproof jacket/raincoat, as mountain weather is unpredictable.

2. Prepare cash, offline maps, sunscreen, and snacks, as there are few shops and poor signal in the villages.

3. Drones are prohibited in all rural residential areas. Most of the honey-colored stone houses are private residences, so please take photos only from public areas along the roadside and do not enter the gardens. Do not make loud noises or block narrow alleys. Take your trash with you.

4. Be careful of slippery river banks; do not feed water birds, pick wildflowers, or disturb livestock; during peak season, take photos at quieter times to avoid crowds.

5. The rural roads are winding; those prone to motion sickness should bring medication. Parking is limited in the villages, so please be punctual for the meeting. Public transportation in the villages is extremely limited; do not leave the group to return alone.

6. Most houses are only free to view from the outside; separate tickets are required for exhibition halls and for climbing Broadway Tower; the tower steps are steep, and it is windy at the summit.

7. Meals are not included in the itinerary; please bring your own food and water. Facilities are extremely limited in Upper and Lower Slaughter; only Bourton-on-the-Water offers ample lunch options. Country pubs stop serving main meals from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and most small shops only accept cash.
