  • BritRail Passes are valid for travel in non-reserved seats
  • Reservations are required for high-speed trains, scenic trains, and sleeper trains, and will incur additional fees
  • Travellers are recommended to pre-book seats during peak times, around national bank holidays, for long-haul routes, or on routes with infrequent departures. If you don’t have a reservation, please sit in seats that are not marked “RESERVED".

(When you have purchased your BritRail Pass and want to make the reservation, ensure you advise the call centre staff that you hold a BritRail Pass.) Night Riviera Sleeper reservations can also be made at any GWR ticket office.
  • Boundaries: Carlisle, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Lydney, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Hereford, Bucknell, Shrewsbury, Chirk, Crewe, Chester, West Kirby.

Purchase Notice

  • The name specified on the pass must be identical to the name specified on the passport
  • Service Range: England (does not include Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland)
  • Redemption Period: 11 months after purchase, please select your redemption date when booking
  • Validity Period: Depends on the chosen package
  • BritRail M-Passes are pre-validated at time of purchase. They are validated once you have chosen your start date and received the barcode.
  • Activation is made through the link sent by email.The activation date is the date you will be using the pass on the train for the first time.
  • All BritRail Passes are valid from 00:00 hrs to 23:59 hrs (Midnight to Midnight) on a chosen day of travel. It includes Peak hours as well.
  • Please note: If a Pass holder is travelling on an overnight train containing sleeper accommodation, the next day’s date must be inserted. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in the payment of a fine and the cost of a full fare ticket
  • BritRail England Passes are valid for non-reserved seats
  • Reservations must be made for high-speed trains, scenic trains, and sleeper trains, and will incur additional fees
  • Travelers are recommended to reserve seats in advance during peak times, around national Bank Holidays, long-haul routes, or other routes that have infrequent departures
  • The Industrial action will cause severe disruption to some parts of the British rail network on some dates please check your first and last train at the website as limited service will be running on the rail network. These dates are subject to change and could be cancelled but in order to avoid disappointment, please check before reserving your seats or tickets. In addition, Holiday Closures and Planned Engineering Closures are also possible, we advise checking in advance on Network Rail


-Child Policy-

  • Free admission for children aged under 4, must not occupy a seat, and must be accompanied by at least 1 paying adult; proof of age is required (e.g. passport)
  • Each adult can only accommodate 2 children aged 4-11. Seats are included in child passes. If you are traveling with 3 or more children, please book youth tickets for them
  • Children under 12 travel in the same travel class as the accompanying adult

  • In the event of flight/train delays or strike, please contact our customer service before your redemption date for rescheduling. Your original booking will be canceled and you will be able to purchase a new order. Please note that a small amount of fine and service charge will be deducted from your refund (fine: refer to your voucher, usually 15% if not stated otherwise/service charge: NT$400)

  • Lost and stolen passes will not be refunded

  • The pass must be redeemed within 11 months after purchase

  • Traveler must have a train pass and visa (including countries where the train passes through without getting off the train)

  • Only invalid and completely unused train passes can be refunded. Refunds must be processed within 11 months from the date of invoicing

  • When requesting a refund, a cancellation penalty (based on the refund rate shown on the pass or 15%) and processing fee of of NT$400 will be deducted. Please ensure you have all tickets, including the pass and reservation card, available for the supplier to handle the follow-up process

  • If you suffer losses due to strikes, shuttle delays, interruptions in connections and theft or loss of luggage, the supplier cannot be held responsible for your losses. In the event of an emergency as listed above, you can follow the rules for changing or refunding tickets
