Shiga Kogen is a highland resort located at an altitude of approximately 2,000m in the central part of Joshinetsu Kogen National Park.

The Shiga Kogen Golden Line is a plateau area at an altitude of approximately 1,200m to 2,000m (elevation difference of approximately 800m), and even in midsummer the average temperature is a very comfortable 20°C.

It takes about 30 minutes to get to the summit of Higashidateyama by changing three gondolas, where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Northern Alps and other majestic mountains.
