Ljubljana is the capital city of Slovenia, as well as the cultural, educational, economic, political and administrative centre of the country. It is famous for its rich history and its unique architectural heritage. The old town centre is dominated by Ljubljana's Castle and divided by the river Ljubljanica. On your trip, you will discover ancient and modern architecture and you will admire the works of the architect Jože Plečnik, designed the city’s most famous bridges, squares and parks.

On your trip, you will visit some of the most interesting buildings and monuments of the city, such as the Town Hall, the Triple Bridge, the Shoemakers’ Bridge, Ljubljana Cathedral, the Robba Fountain, Prešeren Square, Congress Square and other attractions.

The symbol of the city is the Dragon, symbolizing power, courage and greatness. It is depicted on the top of the tower of the castle and on Dragon Bridge.

After visiting the city, you will be driven to Bled, which is an Alpine town and one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Slovenia. Its main attraction is the lake at the centre of which is Bled Island. The main building on the island is the Gothic church dedicated to the Assumption of Mary. The church has a make-a-wish bell and is frequently visited by newlyweds and pilgrims.

On your trip, you will walk around the lake enjoying the fresh alpine air and watching swans and ducks at play. You will admire Bled Castle, which is built on a precipice above the glacial lake and which according to written sources is the oldest Slovene castle. Finally, you will see other local monuments and refresh yourself with a local delicious vanilla and custard cream cake called cremeschnitte (kremšnita). You will also have a chance to take beautiful pictures of the lake, the island, the castle and the nearby Alps.
