Along the way, swim with wild sea lions and dolphins, and see kangaroos, koalas and other iconic Australian animals in the wild. Engage in authentic Indigenous culture and participate in a meaningful wildlife conservation activity. Learn to surf, sandboard down massive dunes, stop at charming country towns, fall asleep under star-filled skies and get to know the quintessential Australians who call this untamed land home. Purchase Notice

  • This tour begins in Adelaide on Day 1 at approximately 6:15 am and concludes in Perth around 6:00 pm on Day 10.
  • This is a participatory camping tour, meaning guests are expected to get involved by helping with basic tasks, such as meal preparation and packing up camp.
  • When camping, you’ll sleep in a traditional Aussie swag—a sturdy canvas bed roll with a built-in mattress, used under the stars or in wet weather tents.
  • A moderate fitness level is required, with walks between 2-9 kilometres on some days. This may involve rough ground and perhaps getting wet
  • There’s no age limit, but please make sure you’re comfortable with hiking, swimming, and swag camping. Swags are set up on the ground, so you’ll need to be able to lift yourself from ground level.
  • Itinerary changes may occur to ensure we provide the best possible experience. Weather conditions in Australia can change quickly, and our experienced guides will always put the safety of our passengers first. Any itinerary changes will be communicated to the group in advance
  • If you have any health or mobility concerns, talk to your doctor before booking, and let Customer Service Team and Guides know so you'll have the best support.

Reminders

  • Please arrive at the designated location 10 minute(s) before the scheduled departure time, as the tour will depart on time

  • Cancellations made 31 days or more before departure receive a full refund (minus any non-refundable costs) or a 100% travel credit valid for three years

  • All cancellations from customer under 31 days before departure will be refunded by travel credit with a validity of three years from the date of purchase

  • This tour requires a minimum of four travellers to run. If we need to cancel due to low numbers, we’ll offer a transfer to a future date or a full refund.

  • Each guest is allowed one soft travel bag or backpack (max 15 kg) plus a small daypack or piece of hand luggage

  • All travellers must complete online check-in and a mandatory ‘Fit for Travel’ declaration at least 24 hours before departure. This confirms you’re free from illness and fit to join the tour

  • Accommodation includes a mix of national parks and bush campgrounds. Most campgrounds offer basic toilet and shower facilities, except for the one-night camping on the Nullarbor, where we don’t have any amenities

  • Please bring your own sleeping bag and pillow. Alternatively, you can hire a used sleeping bag for $20 during the booking process. All unused or retired sleeping bags are donated to a homeless charity, giving them a second life.

  • Be prepared for extreme weather, including high temperatures, cold temperatures, and exposure to the elements.

  • In the event of wet weather, group tents will be provided for shared shelter.

  • Should extreme weather affect the camping experience, alternative accommodation may be arranged. Any additional costs will be shared 50/50 between Untamed Escapes and guests.

  • Guides keep an eye on weather, traffic, and local conditions to give you the best experience possible.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 15 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
  • For cancellations made 4 to 14 days prior to selected date, a cancellation fee of 50% will apply
  • Cancellation is not allowed between 0–3 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
  • Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once the cancellation is confirmed, you will receive your refund within 14 working days.
