Your day begins in Bustard Bay, a beautiful beach that has remained changeless since James Cook sailed ashore over two centuries ago. Travel across four tidal creeks to have some morning tea on the Northern tip of Middle Island. Enjoy the fresh fruit and a range of homemade cakes and cookies while admiring the view.
Next, cross Jenny Lind Creek to embark on a scenic journey aboard a LARC vessel. Coast along Bustard Headland on the way to the Bustard Head Lightstation, which boasts 360-degree views from 16 meters up. Hear stories of triumph and tragedy the early settlers and light keepers. Take a scenic downhill drive back to Bustard Head and enjoy a delicious lunch—including sandwiches, cold drinks, tea, and coffee—while overlooking the Bay.
Things get even more exciting after lunch. Head back to Middle Island for a fun afternoon sandboarding down the dunes. Grab a board and take the leap down the 35-meter-high sand dunes.
