Best visiting times are from 9am to 6pm, extending to 6:30pm in summer. It is closed every Tuesday and is not open to the public.

Must-see attractions include Qinzheng Hall, Qinghui Tower and Xiangyuan Pavilion. Qinzheng Hall is where civil and military officials hold court meetings and important ceremonies. Qinghui Tower is where kings used to entertain diplomatic envoys and hold banquets. Xiangyuan Pavilion is one of the places where emperors and ministers recited poems and wrote poems.
