Oscar was incredibly friendly, provided detailed explanations of the attractions, and even shared his personal shopping list 🤣 He even acted as a photographer at the spots – it couldn't be more perfect! The driver was very friendly, greeting everyone as they got on and off the bus, and the driving was very smooth 👍 Unfortunately, the attractions are really far from Sapporo city center, making the journey quite long, but if budget is a factor, I would still highly recommend this option!
The Sapporo-Asahikawa trip, a 2.5-hour one-way trip, was very well-organized, with our guide and driver providing excellent explanations. We even managed to catch a nap on the bus. Despite the snow and strong winds, the ride was smooth and reassuring. The zoo wasn't large, perfect for walking around and taking photos; the penguins and other small animals were truly adorable. Having visited various snow-covered areas in Tohoku and Hokkaido, the thin layer of snow covering the frozen Blue Pond felt incredibly realistic and memorable. Shirahige Falls was a convenient stop, but it was still okay. Our guide, Ms. Jia, was very kind and recommended it.
Shao, our guide, was the most professional I've ever met. He was fluent in three languages and his explanations were incredibly comprehensive. When we stopped at scenic spots, he diligently took photos and provided explanations. He even helped us order food at the same restaurants if we happened to be there. He managed the time perfectly; thankfully, despite the large group, everyone was punctual. On the return trip, he thoughtfully recommended popular drugstores and restaurants, providing exactly the information we needed.
When I showed my kkday QR code at the ticket counter, they kindly guided me to priority boarding! (Everyone just got it on the spot and went up.) The weather in Sapporo in November is unpredictable, sometimes clear but sometimes rainy, and as expected, it rained for a while, but then stopped and we saw clear skies and a bright moon, which was nice. Even if it rains, if you wait inside for a while, you will be able to see clear skies again. I still recommend going on a cloudless day! I went because it was said to be one of the three best night views of Japan, and it was so nice.
Driver was punctual in picking us up. She also helped us load and unload all of our luggages to the airport. We had so many luggage that's why opted to arrange a charter for convenience. On the way to the airport, we stopped by at Yuni garden and we were able to tour one last time before heading back. Very good travel option to sightsee while heading to the airport.
