Overall, it was pretty good, and our tour guide was great. The downsides were that the attractions were quite far apart, so we spent about 70% of our time on the bus. The lunch wasn't quite to the liking of Taiwanese people. Watching people row boats at Takachiho Gorge was also quite fun.

I was worried about rowing alone, but when I arrived I learned that women can row solo. Unfortunately, buying tickets at the last minute would mean a long wait and exceeding the allotted time. Because other tourists were late for the group meeting, our guide, Seven, ran to get tickets at several points as soon as we got off the bus, showing great care to give us more time. The driver was very smooth, and the ride was comfortable. The scenery at Takachiho Gorge and Cheonangahara was beautiful, and the little train experience was fantastic. We even received a small Takachiho magatama as a souvenir on the return trip. A wonderful day trip, highly recommended!

The journey was quite long, but the driver drove very smoothly, and even on mountain roads, the ride wasn't bumpy. The tour guide occasionally added tidbits of information and understood that passengers wanted to rest as soon as they boarded, so he gave everyone enough time to catch up on sleep (laughs). Lunch was plentiful and delicious, with freshly grilled beef that was incredibly tasty. Overall, it's suitable for first-time visitors to explore the area and use it as a reference for future trips.

This family trip was perfect for us, as we didn't have a car and transportation was inconvenient. We were able to explore the beautiful Takachiho Gorge and the area around Mt. Aso. Although we couldn't go up to the Mt. Aso crater due to a search and rescue mission, we still saw the snow-covered grasslands. The tour guide was professional and attentive in explaining the sights along the way, and his friendly attitude made it a highly recommended trip.
