Kamakura

I went with my 24-year-old daughter. My daughter only knew about Sherlock Holmes from his appearances in Detective Conan, and I only knew from watching a few of the movies. However, we gained a good understanding of the Sherlock Holmes era, and the recreation of the rooms made us feel like we were actually in the story. The tableware looked like something out of a Disney movie, the rooms were luxurious, and there was a rose painted on the large gramophone. Every floor was enjoyable. The initial explanation was a bit long, and I wanted to start seeing the exhibits quickly. I'm usually quite good at listening to explanations, but even I found it long. However, I think listening to it helps you understand things better and makes the experience more enjoyable. There was also a mystery to solve, which was fun. Even taking our time, we were able to go through it in just over an hour.

This activity is highly recommended. It was raining when we met up, and because there were many groups, our guide, Diffany, was in the rain getting herself into the rain to help everyone. There was even a group of elderly men, aged 80-90, who couldn't find the meeting point. Although the website stated "latecomers will not be waited for," the guide patiently guided them there. Before we got off the bus, she repeatedly reminded everyone of the meeting point and time, worried that some members might disappear. On the bus, the guide explained the origins of each location and highlighted worthwhile places to visit. She even took photos for each group. The overall trip went smoothly. Thanks to the driver for driving safely and avoiding traffic jams, everyone arrived safely on time. For a group tour, it was truly excellent value for money!
