The journey was convenient, the meeting point was easy to find, communication with the tour leader was easy, and they spoke excellent English. All the tourist spots were covered, and the itinerary wasn't too packed.
I participated in a day trip to Mount Fuji departing from Shinjuku on May 1st, 2015. Although it started raining as soon as I woke up, I have to say Oshino Hakkai is beautiful. Lunch isn't necessary, as there are tons of delicious street food options. While the lobster hot pot we had for lunch was tasty, it was a shame we missed out on the local snacks. I'm very grateful to our tour guide, Chang Pei-wen, a native of Hsinchu, Taiwan. She was incredibly friendly and provided comprehensive explanations of the sights. When it was time to leave Oshino Hakkai, Mount Fuji suddenly appeared, but instead of rushing us, she let us take as many photos as we wanted. After boarding the bus, the sun finally came out, leading to a vote in the group to change the itinerary. She even said that if even one person disagreed, it wouldn't be allowed. She was an excellent tour guide. Thankfully, the group was very united, and we were able to see Mount Fuji at all the places we visited. Our guide even stood in the sun to find the perfect angle and created a time-lapse video of the entire mountain for everyone. It was incredibly thoughtful. I hope everyone who participates in this tour will have such a perfect tour guide!
A vibrant journey amidst blooming flowers, moss phlox, and wisteria; a superior transportation system with excellent connectivity.
