Cape Kamui

We are so grateful to have encountered the beauty of the blue azure sea. And the cherry blossoms at Hokudo Shrine, and the sashimi rice bowl in Otaru. This trip was amazing! Of course, many thanks to our tour guide and the driver for their safe driving.

It was a very enjoyable trip. Our guide, Rick, was incredibly nice, enthusiastic, and attentive. He fluently explained things to the passengers in three languages—Chinese, Japanese, and English—and his explanations were quite entertaining. He even helped us take group photos and told us the best spots. The entire itinerary was well-planned, with a tight schedule that didn't waste any time, allowing us to visit all the classic attractions. The departure time was also very convenient—9 am—so we didn't have to get up early, and we could have breakfast right after returning to Sapporo. Everything went smoothly. The driver was very steady, with no sudden braking, and the ride was very comfortable. Throughout the trip, Rick frequently reminded everyone to fasten their seatbelts and be careful. When we were a few minutes late for the meeting, Rick didn't rush us like some other guides; he was very easygoing and waited for us nearby to board the bus. He's a very considerate young man. Rick took care of every passenger in the group and answered everyone's questions readily. I highly recommend this trip!

Cape Kamui was tiring but very beautiful! The blue of the blue sea is really gorgeous! But the weather was not cooperating; it drizzled all day, and then it rained heavily in Otaru in the afternoon, so we didn't get to do much. Oh well.

Xiao Hong, thank you so much for taking care of us all day! ☺️ We were so lucky to meet you today! Your introductions were detailed and interesting, and you spoke fluently in both Chinese and English. Your tone, manner, and approach were all perfectly balanced. You were friendly and polite, not at all greasy or pretentious, but rather very practical and comfortable. Your time management was also excellent, making the whole trip go smoothly, and we could feel that you paid attention to many details. Cape Kamui is absolutely gorgeous, and Otaru is also a fantastic place to visit – highly recommended!

The itinerary was the same as the promotional materials, and the time spent at each attraction was as expected, which was sufficient. However, the tour guide on the day seemed a bit different from the experienced tour guides I had encountered before. Fortunately, the group members were very self-disciplined, which allowed the itinerary to be completed smoothly. Overall, the itinerary was rich and the price was reasonable.

Lin was so professional and provided excellent service. He kept reminding everyone to drink plenty of water, use sunscreen, and take other precautions. Because of him, I immediately bought a two-day group tour. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet him again. I hope to meet Lin again next time I come to Hokkaido on a group tour. He speaks three languages, is young and humorous—awesome!

Thank you for the tour guide. Besides explaining the sights, you also shared some interesting facts about Japan. The time allotted for the distillery and Shakotan Peninsula could probably be adjusted to allow more time for the orchards. It wasn't a sunny day when we arrived at the beach, so we didn't get to see the beautiful Shakotan blue sea, which is a bit of a disappointment. We'll have to make up for it next time.
