Since we had a packed sightseeing tour, we started at 3:30 AM with our fun guide, Noor! From the observation deck we climbed a little, we saw a beautiful sunrise with a distant active volcano in the background. It would be amazing if the weather was clear, so I'm looking forward to next time. We had breakfast at a beautiful restaurant, and lunch at a restaurant in a winding alleyway was quite good. The menu was in English, so it was easy to understand, and the meal fee was separate from the tour, so we could eat whatever we wanted, which was a nice touch. At Borobudur, they guided us so we could take photos before the other guide started, which was efficient. We also had a memorable photo with an owl at a tourist spot on the Merapi Jeep tour, which cost 10,000 rupees. It started to rain midway through, but Noor was flexible and able to accommodate, so we were able to enjoy the tour to the end.
