Discover the authentic spirit of Monferrato on a small-group guided hike through rolling hills, historic villages, scenic trails, and panoramic viewpoints. Led by a professional guide, this full-day experience offers an authentic way to explore the landscapes and heritage of Piedmont on foot.
The route begins at the Moleto Quarries, a historic site of Pietra da Cantone stone, now enhanced by contemporary art installations. From here, you’ll walk through the peaceful Valley of the Friars (Valle dei Frati), before reaching the hilltop village of Sala Monferrato, with its beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.
The hike continues to Cella Monte, one of Monferrato’s most characteristic historic villages, where you’ll have time to explore and enjoy the local atmosphere.

During your visit to Cella Monte, you may choose to enjoy a traditional Monferrato lunch at a local agriturismo.
Two menu options are available:
€30 per person, including water and local wine.
€40 per person, including water and local wine.
Please note: Lunch is optional and not included in the tour price.
In the afternoon, discover the historic Infernot cellars—UNESCO-recognized underground rooms carved into the local stone and traditionally used for wine storage.
The route then returns to Moleto, completing a full-day hike for travelers with good fitness who want to discover Monferrato’s nature, villages, traditions, and unique cultural heritage on foot.
