Chiangmai 2026 Moonlight Yi Peng Sky Lantern Festival

- What You Can Expect -

Experience one of Chiang Mai’s most atmospheric festival celebrations at the Moonlight Sky Lantern Festival, where thousands of participants gather to release sky lanterns together under the guidance of the event organizer. Watch the night sky gradually fill with glowing lanterns and take part in a memorable Lanna-style celebration filled with traditional culture and festive energy.

Before the lantern release, explore the handicraft village and enjoy cultural activities, Thai snacks, and herbal drinks. Later in the evening, enjoy a buffet featuring Thai and Northern Thai cuisine, followed by traditional performances including dance, martial arts, and classical musical instruments.

The program also includes a Buddhist blessing ceremony led by monks, adding a meaningful cultural and spiritual element to the evening. Different ticket categories offer different seating areas, lantern quantities, dining arrangements, and additional benefits.

  Board the designated event shuttle and travel to the venue

  Arrive at the handicraft village
  Take part in cultural and handicraft activities

• 06:00 PM - 08:00 PM
  Enjoy a buffet featuring Thai and Northern Thai cuisine

  Proceed to your designated seating area

  Join the mass sky lantern release with other participants

  Queue for the return shuttle
  Travel back to Chiang Mai and get off at one of the designated drop-off points
