Elevate your summer evenings at the summit! From June 19 to September 7, 2026, your Banff Gondola ticket includes access to Sunset Festival — an alpine celebration featuring live music, tasty bites and chilled drinks for purchase at the summit of Sulphur Mountain.*

Toast the day on the mountaintop — Sunset Festival runs nightly from 6 to 9:30 p.m. this summer.

*In the event of poor weather, the fun moves indoors.

  • Know Before You Go: Banff Gondola is at the base of Sulphur Mountain at the end of Mountain Avenue in Banff, Alberta, in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. From Banff Ave, travel south to the end, turn left after the bridge onto Spray Ave. Stay right onto Mountain Ave and follow it to the end to reach the Banff Gondola parking lot.

  • Know Before You Go: Parking is very limited. Sulphur Mountain Paid Parking, managed by Parks Canada, is available on-site for an additional CA$17.50 and may be full at peak times.

  • Know Before You Go: We strongly recommend using the free Banff Gondola Shuttle or Roam Transit from various Banff locations, included with your ticket (May 12 to October 12, 2026).

  • Know Before You Go: Have your same-day, pre-purchased ticket ready when you board the Brewster–Banff Gondola shuttle downtown, or take Roam Transit Route 1 to Sulphur Mountain and show your ticket to the driver.
