New Elephant Home is one of the most unique and dynamic elephant sanctuary projects in Chiang Mai, Thailand currently led by Chatchai “New” Srisiriwilai and their team, who represent the new generation of management. With the support of Lek Chailert, founder of Elephant Nature Park, and Save Elephant Foundation, they have been and are working tirelessly to give their 16 elephants a dignified life.
For many years, these gentle giants were used for rides and shows. But in 2021, after the passing of the previous owner, his 22-year-old son “New” chose a different path. With the support of Lek Chailert and Save Elephant Foundation, he transformed the camp into a sanctuary built on compassion and respect.
New Elephant Home is led by 25-year-old Chatchai “New” Srisiriwilai and his family, who are from the Kayan and Lahu ethnic minority groups. Together, they represent a new generation working to give elephants the dignity and freedom they deserve.
Today, our elephants wander across open fields, forage naturally, and form deep bonds at their own pace. By visiting, you join this journey of renewal — helping create a brighter future for elephants in Chiang Mai.
The unique Boe Thong Waterfall is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Chiang Mai. Located in the Mae Thang National Park north of Chiang Mai, it flows year-round. This is a rare natural limestone waterfall. The mineral-rich white rock surface is highly abrasive and non-slip. Climbing upstream barefoot and with your hands offers a fun experience of rock climbing and stream tracing.

- A minimum of two people are required to depart, and each person must purchase a Package.
- Pickup Range: Free hotel pickup is available for hotels located within the Chiang Mai Old City area and Nimman Road surrounding areas. For locations outside this range, guests must either proceed to MAYA Lifestyle Shopping Center, Tha Phae Gate (Old City) for pickup.
- Duration: The Elephant Care Program takes approximately 4 to 5 hours, while other programs take approximately 7 to 8 hours, but this may vary depending on the specific circumstances.
- Reminders: Please keep your voice down during the Elephant Care Program activities and refrain from any actions that could harm the elephants, It is recommended to bring spare clothes, towels, and toiletries for this trip and.
