Start with a short visit to Ruse, one of Bulgaria’s most elegant cities. Stroll through the historic centre and take in landmarks such as Freedom Square (Ploshtad Svoboda) and the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity (Sveta Troitsa) while getting a feel for the city's distinctive atmosphere.

Continue to Arbanasi, a village known for its traditional architecture and historic houses. Enjoy a short walk through the village before heading to Veliko Tarnovo.

Set among the hills surrounding the Yantra River, Veliko Tarnovo was once the medieval capital of Bulgaria. Here, you'll have the option to visit Tsarevets Fortress, the former stronghold of Bulgarian rulers. An entrance ticket and guided group visit are available for an additional charge.
