The adventure begins with a scenic 3-hour train ride to Zermatt. Here, you'll meander through the village, marvelling at its traditional wooden chalets and mountain views. A hiker’s paradise in summer and a snowy wonderland in winter, Zermatt never fails to impress. After the walking tour, you'll take a break where you can have lunch in the village.

Next, you'll embark on a 30-minute cogwheel train journey, ascending to Gornergrat Ridge. At approximately 10,000 feet (ca. 3000 m) above sea level, you'll be greeted by the views of the Matterhorn and over 20 other majestic peaks. You can soak up the scenery or delve into an interactive multimedia experience that brings the alpine world of the Matterhorn to life.

The day concludes with a return journey to Basel SBB train station. With your guide's local knowledge and your train pass included, this is a seamless Alpine getaway.
