Angels and Demons: Retrace the Path of the Illuminati｜Italy

Visit the places where the four cardinals were killed. Play the part of Robert Langdon in the Dan Brown’s novel and film Angels and Demons as you walk through Rome in search of clues and incredible stories. Each clue will guide you from one place to another, giving you precise indications. Retrace the steps of the protagonist and follow the traces left by the Illuminati, where pagan symbolism and Christianity collide.
The tour begins at Saint Mary of the Victory Church, where you can see Bernini’s sculpture Ecstasy of Saint Teresa. It was here that Robert Langdon found the third cardinal dead, branded with the word “fire”.
Walk through Tritone Street and visit Piazza Barberini, where you can see Bernini’s masterpiece Fountain of Tritone. Visit the Alberto Sordi Gallery and the Church of Saint Luis of French, where you can admire three Caravaggio’s masterpieces.
The next stop is the Pantheon, one of the best-preserved Roman buildings and temple dedicated to all the gods of heaven and earth.
After a trip in ancient Rome, go to Piazza Navona where you can admire Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers and the Egyptian obelisk. Langdon found the last cardinal here, branded with the word “water”. Visit the Church of St. Agnese in Agone, one of Borromini’s masterpieces.
Through the Bernini’s Bridge of Angels go to Castle of Angels, the meeting place of the Illuminati, and hear about the “Passetto”, a hidden passageway that leads to the Vatican City. This shortcut was used by popes in the past as an escape route.
The last stop is St. Peter Square where you can see the obelisk surrounded by the wind rose. It was the Altar of air of Illuminati, where Langdon found the second cardinal dead, branded with the word “air”. Hear about the legend of the Colonnade and play the perspective game of Bernini.
