Discover the vineyards of the Cilento with a guided wine experience designed to be both authentic and effortless.
Your tour begins with complimentary round-trip transfer from Paestum train station, making your arrival and departure completely stress-free.
Once at the vineyard, you’ll enjoy a guided walk through the vines, overlooking the sea and surrounded by the aromas of Mediterranean scrub that naturally shape the character of the wines. During the visit, you’ll learn how local wines are produced and discover the story of Aglianico, the region’s most important grape.
Less internationally known than the famous Lacryma Christi, Aglianico is often considered deeper, more authentic, and more expressive. It tells a different story of Campania—wilder, more Mediterranean, and strongly rooted in tradition. Believed to have arrived in Southern Italy during the times of Magna Graecia, it has long been part of local rural life, once produced in small family cellars and shared in everyday moments.
In the glass, Aglianico is bold and structured, with notes of black cherry, plum, and wild berries, followed by hints of black pepper and licorice. With aging, it develops subtle aromas of cocoa and tobacco, showing its full depth and elegance.
After the vineyard tour, you’ll take part in a guided tasting of four wines of your choice, paired with a selection of local products.
At the end of the experience, you’ll relax on your return transfer back to Paestum train station, bringing with you a true taste of Cilento.
