Its recent appearance in the famous Game of Thrones series has made this place attract even more attention from visitors from all over the world, making it one of the most visited monuments in Spain.

It was initially designed in 914 as a defensive citadel next to the old Roman wall of the city and the building has been gradually modified to become today the official residence of the Kings of Spain in the city of Seville.
