Sintra: Guided History & Highlights Tuk-Tuk Tour with Pastry｜Portugal

Hello, this is Svenja & Rafael!
We both are passionate and experienced Tour Guides in magical Sintra and would like to explore Sintras treasures with you onboard a charming little TukTuk!

Sintra is known for the most romantic village in entire Portugal and since long ago it has been a place full of myths & legends.
In this 1 -1,5 hours tour we would like to immerse you into fary - tale atmosphere of Sintras enchanting village & it´s monuments which will give you an idea of how Sintra was rising!
From the meetingpoint - train station- our very first stop will be a little gift from our side. You must´ve tried "Queijadas" a traditional delicious pastry from Sintra.
After such a perfect start we go through the mountain with stops at the best viewpoints and seeing the monuments from the outside.
Passing by the " Fonte de Sabuga" a water fountain full of history & purified water which you can taste, we stop at one of the oldest palaces in Portugal the "National Palace of Sintra" located in the historical center.After taking pictures and listening to rich history we continue going up the mountain towards Palacio Biester, the setting used in the filming of " The Ninth Gate", starring actor Johnny Depp & director Roman Polanski. This place enchants everyone with it´s architecture!
Next we will see the medieval fortress built arround the 9th century called "Castelo dos Mouros". This place is full of myths, misterious tunnels & old walls. From here we continue through the lush green forest with it´s almost 600 different species of trees from all over the world.
Finally we reach the peak of the viewpoints the Palacio da Pena, a sacred jewel that crowns the Serra de Sintra. Beside the interesting history of the colourful, famous Palace we will also enjoy the fresh mountain smell & being surrounded by pure nature and gardens!
After taking many pictures and having a last look at the beautiful romantic gardens of Pena we´ll slowly go down the mountain.

Now it´s up to you to extent the adventure a little bit and see more of Sintras treasures and stunning landscape or saying goodbye to each other and dropping you off at the historical center or the train station!
