A private cruise, from a hidden canal to the majestic Seine
Imagine…
You board a small, private boat reserved just for you and your loved ones. Away from the crowds and the hustle and bustle, you are about to discover an intimate, secret, and unexpected side of Paris.
The journey begins at Parc de la Villette
Your adventure begins in this large, green, cultural space. Your boat leaves the Bassin de la Villette and heads toward the Rue de Crimée elevated bridge, an impressive metal structure that rises to let you pass. This in itself is an unusual appetizer, far off the usual tourist trail.
Locks and romantic walkways
Very soon, you will reach the first lock. The water rises or falls slowly, the sound of the mechanisms accompanying this ballet, and you have time to admire the pedestrian footbridges, the lively terraces, and the Parisian architecture that lines the Canal Saint-Martin. Here, every detail exudes charm: the swing bridges, the colorful façades, the fishermen perched on the banks. You can even spot the famous Hotel du Nord, immortalized on the silver screen.
The Mysterious Tunnel
Then, suddenly, the atmosphere changes. Your boat enters an underground tunnel over a mile long, a dark vault punctuated by skylights in which the calm waters are reflected. The echo, the dim light, and the play of shadow and light create an almost magical atmosphere. You glide gently, as if through a parallel Paris, before reemerging into broad daylight.
The Arsenal Lock and the Bastille
At the exit, Place de la Bastille unfolds before you, with its July Column towering over the Port de l’Arsenal. It’s a spectacular transition: you leave the intimacy of the canal to join the grandeur of the Seine.
The Seine and its iconic monuments
The cruise continues along Paris's most majestic river. The views open up, and the monuments pass by: the Îles Saint-Louis and Île de la Cité, with the silhouette of Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Conciergerie, the Louvre, and then the elegant façades of the Musée d’Orsay. And even further ahead, the Eiffel Tower rises like a beacon, the highlight of the spectacle and the promise of memories that will last a lifetime.
An experience to be savored
During this 2.5-hour cruise, time stretches out and is savored. A glass of champagne, a charcuterie platter, or a few macarons add a touch of sophistication to this timeless moment. There are no more than ten of you on board—enough to share the experience, but small enough for everyone to find their own space and fully enjoy the magic.
An intimate and timeless journey that reveals a poetic and intimate side of Paris along the Canal Saint-Martin, before treating you to the eternal splendor of its monuments on the Seine.
