Product Info

Leave Edinburgh behind and journey into the Scottish Highlands aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned coach. Along the way, you'll discover dramatic landscapes, fascinating history, and some of Scotland's most iconic sights as your guide brings the country to life with stories and local knowledge with live commentary.

This tour is available in three different versions, and each version operates on a separate coach. When booking, please make sure you select the option that includes the experience you're most interested in:
- Boat Cruise – Have more time in Fort Augustus with the option to join a Boat Cruise on Loch Ness (not included)
- Whisky Distillery – Stop at Deanston Distillery, where you can take an optional distillery tour (not included)
- Castle & Cruise Combo* – Take an optional shorter Loch Ness cruise combined with a visit Urquhart Castle (tickets not included)

The Boat Cruise option is the only version that runs daily. If you don't plan to join any of the optional activities, we recommend booking this option!
Top tip: Bring a packed lunch so you can make the most of your time at each stop.

-----
Pass by the iconic Stirling as your local Scottish guide shares thrilling tales of the battles that shaped a nation. Continue to the charming area around Callander, gateway to the Highlands and nestled at the foot of the Trossachs.

On the Whisky Distillery option, you'll visit Deanston Distillery, where you can join an optional tour and learn about Scotland's famous whisky-making tradition (ticket not included).

During the summer season, no tour would be complete without the chance to meet some of Scotland's famous Highland cows. (We do our best to include a hairy coo stop year round, but cannot guarantee them during the winter.)

Travel through the beautiful area of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park and the dramatic scenery of Glencoe, featured in movies like James Bond's Skyfall and Harry Potter, and learn about the haunting 1692 massacre. Pass through Fort William, home to mighty Ben Nevis, the tallest peak in the British Isles.

Stop at Loch Ness, to explore its history, enjoy the surroundings and perhaps catch a glimpse of "Nessie" - the legendary Loch Ness Monster. Guests on the Boat Cruise option can join an optional Cruise on the loch (ticket not included), while those on the Castle & Cruise option can choose to take a shorter cruise combined a visit to Urquhart Castle (tickets not included).

The scenic journey will also take you through the Cairngorms National Park and the Victorian town of Pitlochry before arriving back in Edinburgh at approximately 8:30 PM.

* The Castle & Cruise tour follows the itinerary in reverse order, so some stops and timings will differ slightly (see details below).
** Please note that this tour covers a large distance, meaning a significant portion of the day is spent on the coach. It's the perfect opportunity to relax and take in some of Scotland's most breathtaking scenery.
