• Samunjin Ferry Terminal
  Samunjin Ferry Terminal was used in the past as a waterway for peddlers traveling from Busan up the Nakdong River to Daegu.
  There are two theories regarding the origin of the name 'Samun'. One is that it was called Samunjin (寺門津) using the character for 'temple' (寺) because it was the gateway to Inheungsa, a large temple located in Bonri-ri, Hwawon-eup (Inheung Village). The other is that it was called Samunjin (沙門津) using the character for 'sand' (沙) because of the sand on the riverbank, and because it was the gateway through which boats carrying salt and other goods entered, and local goods were shipped out to other regions.
  Samunjin Ferry Terminal was established in the 28th year of King Sejong's reign during the Joseon Dynasty and served as a trade warehouse (Hwawonchang) for 40 years until the reign of King Seongjong. It housed a 'Waemulgo' (warehouse for Japanese goods) that played a central role in trade with Japan, and it served as a hub for transporting goods along the Nakdong River.
  On March 26, 1900, the American missionary couple, the Sidebothams, brought the first piano to Korea through this terminal to Daegu. It was also the filming location for the movie 'The Ownerless Ferryboat' directed by Lee Gyu-hwan during the Japanese colonial period.
  The current site was almost lost to history when the Samunjin Bridge, connecting Hwawon-eup and Dasan-myeon in Goryeong-gun, opened in 1993. However, a historical park was created around the Samunjin Ferry Terminal, including the construction of a Piano Plaza and the restoration of three traditional tavern buildings.
  The tavern village features thatched roofs that evoke the atmosphere of an old ferry terminal. In the center of the Samunjin Ferry tavern village stand a hackberry tree, a sotdae (sacred pole), and jangseung (totem poles), and various sculptures marking the site as the entry point of the piano are placed throughout the park.
  A 1-hour cruise ship course is also in operation, departing from Samunjin Ferry Terminal and sailing to Dalseong Wetland, The ARC at Gangjeongbo, and the Dalseongbo area.

• Dalseong Wetland (Daemyeong Retention Basin)
  This is a large-scale wetland in Daegu. It is famous for its beautiful wildflowers in all four seasons and as a habitat for winter migratory birds. It is home to over ten endangered species, including narrow-mouthed toads, snakes, otters, eagle owls, and golden eagles. Due to its ecological value, it has been selected as one of the 6 Scenic Spots of the Nakdong River, the 12 Scenic Spots of the Nakdong River, and the 12 Scenic Spots of Dalseong. In 2007, Daegu City designated it as a wetland protection area and wildlife protection zone, managing it as a tourist attraction.
